SST Core Technology
Gearbox’s patented Solid Span Technology (SST) features a carbon fiber structure built with a solid core material that acts as a gearbox for shots—a conversion mechanism that turns the ball’s energy into varying levels of power, control, and spin on every shot. Power Band Technology
Pushing the limits of creativity and ingenuity, Gearbox developed Power Band Technology. With Power Band, the racket’s patented SST core is decoupled and suspended from the perimeter of the racket, creating a spring-like effect on the racket’s face. The band around the edge is a flexible zone, allowing movement and rebound from the racket face. Power Band gives the racket a solid, controlled feel along with great power without much effort.
Hyper-Bite 2.0
Vortex Technology | Improved
This technology generates spin from the patented ribbed SST core inside to the racket face. Hyper-Bite 2.0 describes a system where different components come together, including the patented ribbed SST core, 3K woven carbon fiber outer layer, urethane surface coating and a new surface texture coating, all to create maximum grip and friction with the ball to create incredible spin.
Expanded Sweet Spot
The Ultimate Power sweet spot performance has been expanded through Power Band Technology, now with improved stability, forgiveness, feel and power. Power can be increased on demand to help hit the ball hard while maintaining good feel for dinks.
Frame structure
Gearbox first introduced the rimless molded racket in 2015 for pickleball, and they have continued to refine and innovate their design since then. The Ultimate Power’s Rimless Frame has been upgraded in two ways: pushing more material to the outer edges and adding carbon fiber layers to the edge. This gives the Ultimate Power collection improved perimeter weighting, off-center stability, and more power.
3K Woven Carbon Fiber
The CX14 collection is crafted with 3K woven carbon fiber on both the face and perimeter of the racket, providing premium feel and sound, a larger sweet spot, better spin generation, better torsion control and greater durability. This new material also helps reduce vibration transmitted to the hand and provides consistent stability across the racket face from center to edge.
